1、定义：电机控制器是通过集成电路的主动工作来控制电机按照设定的方向，速度，角度，响应时间来进行工作的；而变频器是应用变频技术与微电子技术，通过改变电机工作电源频率方式来控制交流电动机的电力控制设备的

2、组成：电机控制器是采用大功率智能模块、优良的冷却散热系统、可靠的电源控制系统、闭环采样反馈控制系统优化组成；而变频器主要由整流（交流变直流）、滤波、逆变（直流变交流）、制动单元、驱动单元、检测单元微处理单元等组成的。

3、特点：电机控制器具有响应速度快、控制运行稳定、免维护，输出效率更高，噪音更小等特点。变频器具有很多的保护功能，如过流、过压、过载保护等等，并且能够节能、调速。
